The TOYOTA GAZOO Racing GR86/BRZ Cup Rd.5 Clubman Series Final was held at Okayama International Circuit on Sunday, September 15, 2024.

On this day, under cloudy skies, a fierce battle unfolded over 12 laps, and Naomasa Kishimoto (Car No. 41) equipped with WORK WHEEL achieved his first victory.

The race started at 10:15 a.m. Naomasa Kishimoto (Car No. 41) in pole position got off to a good start and headed into the first corner.

However, on the second lap, a crash occurred on the course and the race was temporarily suspended due to the introduction of the safety car.

The race proceeded at the pace of the safety car until the sixth lap, and resumed on the seventh lap.

There was no change in the ranking after the restart, and Kishimoto remained in the lead, winning pole to win with a 2-second lead over second place.

In addition to our first win, we also updated the course record and set the fastest lap, ending the tournament in the best possible way.

Kishimoto's comment: "In the first half of the race, I was on the podium but had a series of disappointing results, so I got myself motivated and went to the second half of the race in Okayama. The WORK EMOTION ZR7 that I used in this race demonstrated overwhelming performance in the technical sections in the second half of the course with its high rigidity and traction performance. Also, even with the tires that had overheated in the final, the grip did not escape to the side, and I was able to apply traction firmly, so I was able to continue attacking even in the difficult situation in the second half of the race. Thanks to the support I received from everyone, I was able to bring home a good result, and I think I was able to break the bad flow of the first half and have a race that will lead to the next race and beyond."
